More Creature Art!
Yes! More of the art with the creatures and the stuff! XD
A Kirin in a forest clearing. This is the second incarnation of this picture- the first one just didn't sit right with me, until I realized that the photo that I'd chosen to put the creature in was the problem. It didn't have enough contrast. So! I changed it to this one instead.

Art Day
Today has been nothing but an art day today- which is good, I needed some good 'ol fashioned art therapy.
Hm... I must be having a blue day or something. Both pieces are painfully bluish.

In any case, the first is a sketch of a Pixie that I thought I'd try to incorporate into a background of some type. I'm pretty pleased with the results. The background is another one of my photos that I've applied the "Cutout" filter to. I also used some of the Photoshop lighting effects.
The second is a Character Sheet for Jasmine, which I've been meaning to finish for quite some time now.
Back in the Groove
Back again after a month's absence. XD I should really try to be more consistent. Anywho, here's a few things I've been working on the past couple days. I'm not really sure what sparked my creativity again, but I sure feel better now that I've got it back. (At least for a while.)
This one's been lying around in my art folder labeled "Dragons" for a long while now. I finally got the inkling to finish him off. Its something I call a Makanoo- the inspiration came from a Native American mythological fresh water serpent that was said to spit balls of water at anyone who came too close. It was described as being snake-like with a set of deer antlers on it's head, so I took the idea and ran with it. It sort of became a snake-moose-fish-turtle.

This one is just a quick doodle I did while working on some drawings of Willow. It's from a short story I wrote a while ago involving her and a tavern boy named Ivan. (I hope to someday turn it into a full-length tale, but I've got to finish Landon and Dahlia first.)
Here's another doomed Threadless submission. (I'm just a sucker for punishment, I guess.) I took a sketch I'd done of a magical deer-creature I'd invented called a Trian and twisted it into a design. The trees in the background are from a photo I took that was altered with the "Cutout" filter in Photoshop.
